How Many Episodes of Blue Bloods Are Left?

There are two more episodes of Blue Bloods left in the show’s 14th and final season on CBS.

The show’s cast has been very vocal about CBS’ decision to cancel the series after 14 years on the network.

“It’s too bad. Doesn’t make any sense,” Len Cariou, who plays Henry Reagan, told TV Insider in November 2024 of the show’s cancellation. “We’re still, I think, the best-watched show on Friday nights, even though we’re canceled.”

Len and the rest of his castmates were featured in photos released ahead of the show’s final episodes, teasing what is to come for each of the beloved characters.

A Summary of the ‘Blue Bloods’ Penultimate Episode Plot

The penultimate episode is titled “Entitlement.”

“Eddie and Badillo try to help a man whose apartment has been taken over by a squatter who also happens to be Jamie’s confidential informant,” the episode’s official synopsis says. “Also, Danny and Baez investigate when a star student is found dead in her dormitory; Frank suspects the governor has an agenda when he comes to him with a proposal; and Erin oversteps when she tries to play matchmaker for Anthony, on Blue Bloods.”

Amanda Kloots will guest star in the second to last episode of the series. The episode will air on Friday, December 6, at 10 p.m. ET.

A Summary of the ‘Blue Bloods’ Finale Episode Plot

The finale episode is titled “End of Tour.” It will air on Friday, December 13, at 10 p.m. ET.

“It’s all hands on deck for the Reagan family, as they race to stop deadly mayhem in the city when the gangs of New York unite together to demand amnesty for the release of their imprisoned members and those awaiting trial, in the historic series finale episode of Blue Bloods,” the official synopsis of the episode says.

Academy Award nominee Edward James Olmos will guest star in the episode.

A Funeral Was Filmed for the Finale

In photos released ahead of the episode, the Reagan’s are seen attending a funeral for a member of the NYPD. There has been a ton of rumors swirling about which character will be getting killed off based on the clues presented in the pictures.

Several of the cast members confirmed that their last day on set was at a cemetery.

“The last scene, of course, was at a funeral, and so we weren’t even in the house the day that we wrapped it up,” Len previously said. “I was finished that day myself and several of the others, Tom [Selleck]‘s group of guys, Bridget [Moynahan] and Steve [Schirripa], and the others, they were done that day, too, before the rest of the episode was finished.”

“So it was kind of strange in that sense, just like any other day, any other week. And we had just kind of gotten used to the fact that we had said our goodbyes, if you will, with not a lot of emotional times together,” he said of waving goodbye to the show. “So we said, OK, that’s over and done with, and we’ll stay in touch if we can.”
