Bridget Moynahan’s Next Project After Blue Bloods Has Been Revealed

Blue Bloods star Bridget Moynahan is booked and busy! Her next project after wrapping season 14 of the police procedural drama has been revealed.

Bridget, 53, will star alongside Brooke Shields, Jay Mohr, Henry Winkler, Monique Coleman, Jahi Di’Allo Winston, Caleb Baumann, Kayli Tran, Hayden Carson Begley and Elliot Gilbert Adler in the film California Skate. It’s a 1970s indie movie that takes place at a roller rink. Filming has already finished on the project.

“Follows a group of teenagers navigating first loves, forging new friendships, and embracing the exhilarating journey of coming-of-age during a life-altering night,” the synopsis on IMDb says.

Deadline released the first photos of the actors in character on Tuesday, December 10. The film is directed by David Kukoff with executive producers Bernie Kukoff and Marc R. Gordon. Bridget also serves as a producer on the film along with Cheryl Bayer and Wendy Eley Jackson.

Bridget is also gearing up for the Blue Bloods series finale to air on Friday, December 13, at 10 p.m. ET on CBS. The Sex and the City actress has been posting photos from behind the scenes of Blue Bloods leading up to the final episode, including pictures from the show’s 150th episode celebration, scenes with Holt McCallany, fun moments with Donnie Wahlberg and more.

She has been very open about her feelings regarding the show’s cancellation.

“I think we’re all a little disappointed,” Bridget told People in September of CBS’ decision to cancel Blue Bloods after 14 seasons. “We’ve had such a good time. We all want to be there. It’s a real loss.”

She recalled coming to set on the final day of shooting to watch real-life pal and onscreen brother Donnie’s last scene in season 14. Tom Selleck was also there to watch the emotional moment. Filming for Blue Bloods’ final season wrapped in June.

“I think one of the most beautiful things on that last day for me, I’ll never forget it, is Tom, because he was already wrapped and he came down for Donnie and mine’s last scene,” the former model remembered.

It was a rather emotional experience for the cast and crew on set that day, with tears flowing for many of the show’s stars.

“We were behind a monitor — I’m getting choked up as I say this — and I had my arm around Tom, and he was holding onto my hands the way my dad did,” she shared. “We were just so thankful, and he was so gracious. From day one that’s the way it went: ‘Nice to meet you. We are family.’”

Her sweet friendship with her costars is something she will take away from the series and hold near and dear to her heart for years to come.

“That love and appreciation and respect without ever having to say,” Bridget said. “And the appreciation for everything that we had just built while we’re watching our brother, son, teammate and such a voice and face of the show finish his last scene, it was really quite emotional.”
