What are the chances that LeBron James leaves the Los Angeles Lakers?
A lot of fans are asking that question since the team is still struggling in the standings after weeks of middling performances.
James departing from LA would be a massive sea change for the team and the league, but is it really likely?
Speaking on “7PM in Brooklyn,” Carmelo Anthony said the choice is completely up to James and only James.
Anthony said:
“LeBron makes the trade so, if he wanna get traded, he’ll get traded.”
Could Bron really leave the Lakers? 🤔

James is one of the most powerful people in the league, even in his 22nd season.
The Lakers would not move him unless he deliberately asked for it, and, right now, that isn’t something he wants.
Instead, he hopes the front office works hard to build a better roster around him, but it’s not clear if they will do that either.
Last season, there were whispers of James possibly heading to the Golden State Warriors, but that never happened.
However, the team is in the same spot it was at this point last season, and maybe James is softening to the idea of leaving Los Angeles.
At the same time, his family resides in the city, his son plays on the team, and James has repeatedly said he wishes to retire as a Laker.
So there is little evidence of him wanting to say goodbye to the Lakers.
Even if the Warriors put together a hefty trade, James likely isn’t going anywhere.
The only way he would is if he really wanted to.
However, that doesn’t mean the team’s front office shouldn’t make moves in the weeks ahead.
