Brazil eye back-to-back wins on Tuesday, when they face Peru at home as World Cup qualifying continues in South America. The five-time World Cup winners currently rank fourth in CONMEBOL’s 10-team table, continuing an upward trajectory despite winning just two of their opening six games. Peru, meanwhile, sit ninth with just one win in nine games and have work to do if they want to qualify for the 2026 World Cup in North America.

Here’s what you need to know before tuning in.

How to watch and odds

  • Date: Tuesday, Oct. 15 | Time: 8:45 p.m. ET
  • Location: Estadio Nacional Mane Garrincha — Brasilia, Brazil
  • Live stream: Vix
  • Odds: Brazil -550; Draw +500; Peru +1300

Storylines

Brazil have been inconsistent throughout the World Cup qualifying competition so far, but have finally managed to get their campaign back on track with a few more wins, the most recent of which came on Thursday with a 2-1 win at Chile. Brazil dominated against a Chile side that is a shell of their former selves, though did not make easy work of things – they went down in the second minute and scored the game-winner in the 89th.

A similarly commanding performance is expected against Peru, who have just six points from nine qualifying games. Brazil will still be without the injured Vinicius Junior but goals from Igor Jesus and Luis Henrique prove the team has some scoring range even with the likes of Rodrygo and Endrick in the squad.

Prediction

Brazil do not always make things easy for themselves, but they should be able to earn another win regardless of the personnel head coach Dorival Junior goes with on Tuesday. Pick: Brazil 2, Peru 0
