Colin Cowherd Names ‘Perfect’ Team For Sam Darnold This Offseason

The Minnesota Vikings have a big decision to make in the offseason.

However, barring a major turn of events, it seems like they’ve made that decision already.

They’ve committed to J.J. McCarthy for the future, and that means they have to part ways with Sam Darnold.

Likewise, given his performance, he should also look for an opportunity to start somewhere else instead of competing for a starting spot.

With that in mind, Colin Cowherd took a deep, hard look at the rest of the league to determine the best potential destination for him.

Of all the teams, he chose the Indianapolis Colts.

On “The Herd,” he claimed that the Anthony Richardson experiment wasn’t working and that they needed to find someone else.

While the Colts don’t have Justin Jefferson, they do have a good set of wide receivers.

They also have a solid offensive line, an elite running back, and an offensive-minded coach.

Truth be told, it does make some sense.

The Colts have been looking at veteran quarterbacks for years now.

If anything, Darnold is still young.

The team has looked good with Shane Steichen at the helm, but Richardson’s shortcomings have been too much to overlook.

Perhaps he can stay on the team as a project, as his athleticism and physical traits are simply off the charts.

But if they want to compete with this roster, perhaps they should call Darnold.

He’s looked like a legitimate starting-caliber quarterback this year.
