Donnie Wahlberg attended the F1 Grand Prix with his wife, Jenny McCarthy, in Las Vegas over the weekend. The Blue Bloods actor ended up bumping into guest star Kevin Dillon at the racing event.
Donnie, 55, shared a photo on his Instagram Stories on November 23, with Jenny, 52, Kevin, 59, and Entourage actor Jerry Ferrara. “The Entourage,” Donnie captioned the snapshot, referencing the HBO series.
Kevin portrayed James O’Shea in season 7 and season 8 of Blue Bloods, however, he has not appeared since. He starred as Johnny “Drama” Chase on Entourage for eight seasons.
Blue Bloods is currently in its 14th and final season on CBS, much to the dismay of fans. Several viewers have been open about their disappointment that the show is ending after a successful run on the network.
“Another night of great writing, acting and emotions! I’m still loving every episode,” one person wrote in a comment on the show’s official Instagram page. “Frustrating that the end is near. Everyone at Blue Bloods-thank you such entertaining art, much love!”
“Hard to believe CBS is still going to cancel this show. Keeping it should be a no brainer as it’s one of few really good shows left! Incredibly sad!!” another person said.
On November 15, Donnie admitted on X that watching the final episodes go by each week was getting “more and more sad the closer we get.”
“I’m so sad to see this show leaving. Since it began, I have looked forward to a new episode each week and was never disappointed,” one fan wrote in response.
After news of the show’s cancellation was revealed, CBS unveiled its 2025 lineup, with S.W.A.T. set to take over the Friday, 10 p.m. time slot that Blue Bloods occupied for 14 years. S.W.A.T., which stars Shemar Moore, is set to make its return to TV in the new time slot in the last week of January.
S.W.A.T. is a show that has fought through a lot to remain on TV, including being canceled and uncanceled twice.
“To get canceled twice in a row and to get uncanceled twice in a row, I give kudos to me running my mouth on social media,” Shemar, 54, told People in an interview published on November 1. “Nothing lasts forever, but I fight.”
Fans were thrilled when it was announced that S.W.A.T. would be getting a season 8.
“Here at CBS, we always ‘stay liquid’ and love a good dramatic twist, especially when it leads to an eighth season of S.W.A.T.!,” CBS Entertainment President, Amy Reisenbach, said in a press release. “The show continues to resonate with viewers thanks to our talented cast led by Shemar Moore and our amazing writers and producers who keep the show relevant and action-packed. We’re very pleased to renew it again and incredibly grateful to our partners at SONY, CBS Studios and Shemar for working so closely with us to bring it back for next season.”
