Donnie Wahlberg Reveals Which Props He Took From Blue Bloods Set

Donnie Wahlberg couldn’t leave his Blue Bloods character, Danny Reagan, behind without taking something from the show’s set.

The New Kids on the Block singer revealed that he took some props as the show wrapped its 14th and final season on CBS.

“I took my two Danny Reagan costumes — my blue suit and my dress blues,” Donnie, 55, told People in an interview published on Saturday, November 30. “I put them on mannequins and put them in a Wahlburgers.”

He also shared that he took the table and chairs that the Reagan family sat at for the show’s beloved dinner scenes throughout the 14 seasons.

“I really had no intention of taking anything from the set until I learned that that table and chairs was just sitting in a warehouse somewhere,” Donnie explained to the outlet.

He intends on putting the table and chairs in one of his family’s Wahlburgers locations, the popular chain of burger and bar restaurants he co-owns with brothers Paul and Mark Wahlberg.

“I’ll set it up where fans can sit at the table and take pictures,” the Massachusetts native revealed. “And then I’m going to raffle it probably for charity for the DEA, the Detectives Endowment Association, for the Widows and Children’s Fund.”

Donnie, who has portrayed Danny since 2010, held back tears a number of times during the November 29 special, Blue Bloods: Celebrating a Family Legacy, reflecting on working on the show with all of the amazing cast members.

In particular, he reflected on his dynamic with costar Bridget Moynahan, who has portrayed his sister, Erin Reagan, on Blue Bloods since season 1.

“She’s my sister like on screen and off,” Donnie said. “I don’t want to get emotional … I love Bridget a lot. We’re not here without her.”

The “Step By Step” singer has expressed interest in a possible spinoff show, but strong family values must remain at the center of the show.

“There’s been a lot of talk about spinoffs, about various spinoffs, all types of concepts of spinoffs. I, for me personally, would say whatever happens next, if it’s done with the spirit of Blue Bloods and done with the care that we tried to put into Blue Bloods every week, it would be something that I would look forward to watching or being a part of either way,” he told TV Insider in an interview published on October 17.

“I’ve heard stories of prequels, sequels, you name it. For me personally, I love the show,” the singer-songwriter explained. “I’ve enjoyed working on it for 14 years and like I said, whatever comes next, as long as it has family at its core and the spirit of Blue Bloods, then I’m all for it.”

CBS has yet to officially announce a spinoff for Blue Bloods. Fans are eager to see if any of their spinoff ideas become a reality after the cast takes their final bow in the show’s last episode on December 13.
