Leona Lewis & Calum Scott join forces for special rendition of ‘Give A Little Bit’ in support of The Multibank

Two of pops most exquisite voices, Leona Lewis and Calum Scott, join forces once again this week to release an extra special rendition of Supertramp’s 1977 hit ‘Give a Little Bit’ in support of The Multibank as a means to raise awareness of the charities operation, mission, and impact in the community.

Produced by the same team behind the pairs billion-streamed duet ‘You Are the Reason’, Jon ‘MAGS’ Maguire, the super emotive track sees the pair hope to “inspire and nurture a greater level of empathy and compassion in the face of social divisiveness”.

Commenting on the new track, Leona Lewis OBE said: “Growing up with key workers as parents, I truly understand the challenges that families, at any point in their journey, can face due to unforeseen circumstances, often completely outside of their control. Whether it be, consistently putting food on the table, purchasing nappies, guarding our loved ones from the struggle… I’ve seen it all. I know how important interventions and support systems like The Multibank are for those in need, and we need to encourage those requiring support to access the help that is available to them, because we all need a helping hand along the way. As a mother, it was important for me to support the work of The Multibank, as it is a positive step towards nurturing a greater level of empathy in our young ones, driving understanding of what others do and don’t have, and developing a greater sense of community. It is, after all, community that makes the world go round. So, I’d encourage everyone to ‘give a little bit’ this Christmas, which can be as simple as kind words and a little understanding.”

With Calum Scott adding: “Joining forces once again with my friend Leona Lewis to record our cover of Supertramp’s, ‘Give A Little Bit’ for Multibank was a beautiful experience. The brainchild of Former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, The Multibank offers a new solution for business surplus.

It connects business with social need to help reduce poverty, and meet sustainability targets, distributing essential, non-food items to meet the needs of our communities’ most vulnerable. Business reroutes surplus product into a Multibank, which is operated by a lead charity. That lead charity builds out a place-based network of charities, social workers, health professionals and teachers, who act as conduits to get essential items into the hands of the most vulnerable in the community.
