Liam Hemsworth’s girlfriend offers a rare glimpse inside their relationship with sweet tribute to the actor: ‘My sunshine’

They’re the Aussie couple who have kept things relatively private and under wraps since they were first linked back in December 2019.

And now, Liam Hemsworth’s model girlfriend Gabriella Brooks has lifted the lid on their romance and given fans rare insight into their relationship.

Brooks, 28, shared a sweet – and public – birthday tribute to Liam to mark his 35th birthday, calling him her “sunshine” in a heartwarming post.

Sharing some unseen photographs of the pair together and with their dogs to her more than 196,000 followers, she wrote in her post: “Happy Birthday to my sunshine 💛.”

In the images, the pair are seen posing up for selfies and pictures together, with one taken with a sunset or sunrise behind them.

Another shows the pair FaceTiming, with Brooks in a hotel room.

“Offended by the last set up… because that FaceTime should’ve been to me,” Anaïs Gallagher, Noel Gallagher’s daughter joked in the comments.

“That’s so true,” Brooks commented back.

Brooks previously touched on their relationship to Stellar, telling the publication: “My personal relationship is very, very important and very sacred to me.”

“And I feel like in an industry where so much is put out on show, there are some things you just want to keep to yourself.”

But she added: “…But he’s great… They [the Hemsworths] are great. They are the most beautiful people and I’m very lucky to know them.”

Before their relationship, Hunger Games star Hemsworth was previously linked to Australian actress and Dynasty star Maddison Brown. 

It wasn’t until late 2022 that Hemsworth and Brooks made their red carpet debut at the premiere of Poker Face, starring Hemsworth, Russell Crowe and Hemsworth’s sister-in-law, Elsa Pataky. 

In 2024, the couple enjoyed a holiday to the idyllic Greece, with Hemsworth sharing pictures to his millions of followers and writing: “Greece. What a wonderful place.”

Hemsworth was previously married to singer and actress Miley Cyrus, but they announced their split in mid 2019.

“Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward,” Hemsworth said in a statement at the time after her representative confirmed their split.

He reportedly filed for divorce that year from the singer. 

Cyrus’ hit single Flowers is reportedly about her ex-husband Hemsworth.

One line includes “Built a home and watched it burn,” seemingly referring to their Malibu home that was burnt down in the 2018 California wildfires.
