Ice King is the super cool contestant bringing his chill to the Masked Singer stage in season 12. But the judges could not figure out which celebrity was under the mask after his first performance on the show.
Clues for Ice King on ‘The Masked Singer’
Ice King’s Masked Ambassador is Hanson, who competed as The Russian Dolls in season 5 of The Masked Singer.
The popular music group said that Ice King topped the charts globally, and sold out stadiums and was given the royal treatment like he was one of the Beatles.
There was some large speakers in his clue package. Ice King said he “rules the school.” There was also a chocolate cake pop in the clue package that Ice King held like a scepter.
“But Hollywood could be a little cold, so I ran away and went into a deep freeze, which lasted for years,” he said. “But now I found the courage to come back and stand in the spotlight once again.”
There was a passport in the clue package. He said he was easing his way back into music behind the mask after taking a break.
For his first performance on the show, he sang “Tonight, Tonight” by Hot Chelle Rae.
His additional clue was a sweater that said, “Drop the fire beat.”
“I have traveled the world dropping fire beats in front of massive crowds, but tonight has been the most lit,” Ice King said after the additional clue was revealed.
Judges Guesses for Ice King on ‘The Masked Singer’
A few of the judges were on the same page in thinking that it’s someone who is involved in the music industry underneath the mask.
Robin Thicke guessed that it was Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz because fans do not get to hear him sing often. Ken Jeong said it was Joe Jonas, but fans know Joe does not sound like that. Joe is a seasoned vocalist and has been working non-stop over the past decade, so we’re not sure in what universe he would have time to compete on The Masked Singer.
Jenny McCarthy guessed that it’s Mr. Beast because of his global fame and the chocolate clue possibly alluding to his Feastables brand. Online, one popular guess is Drake Bell, because several of the clues could allude to the fact that he stepped back from Hollywood. Plus, he has prior music experience. Fans of the show took to X to say they thought it was a DJ under the mask, like Steve Aoki, Pauly D or Calvin Harris.
The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on FOX.
