Christmas came early for Drag Race fans as on Wednesday, the cast of season 17 of RuPaul’s Drag Race was revealed in a (literally) splashy extravaganza on the show’s YouTube channel, hosted by season 16 winner Nymphia Wind.
The 14 fierce queens competing for a $200,000 prize and the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar” are: Acacia Forgot, Arrietty, Crystal Envy, Hormona Lisa, Jewels Sparkles, Joella, Kori King, Lana Ja’Rae, Lexi Love, Lucky Starzzz, Lydia B Collins, Onya Nurve, Sam Star, and Suzie Toot.
The 90-minute premiere, airing Friday, January 3 at 8 pm ET on MTV, has the queens introducing themselves via the “Drag Queens Got Talent” challenge. Mama Ru has brought back the “Rate-A-Queen” scoring system, but in true Ru fashion, expect a twist. And, of course, a new season of Drag Race also brings with it a new season of Untucked, so fasten your seatbelts for more drama from the Werk Room.
Get ready for all of the charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent you can handle and tune in for the premiere of season 17 of RuPaul’s Drag Race on January 3.
