Paris Jackson is on cloud nine after announcing her engagement to bandmate Justin Long – and an insider exclusively tells Life & Style that she’s insisting this is her happily ever after following a string of previous disappointments down the years.
“She’s fallen in love a lot over the years, but says she’s positive Justin is her soulmate. It’s not just the love of music that they share, he’s also very intentional and spiritual, she knows her dad would approve,” the source reveals of Michael Jackson’s daughter. “He created a daily gratitude app, that’s totally up her alley.”
While Paris, 26, is completely in love with Justin, the insider says that “her family is worried about his intentions because Paris is set to come into nearly a billion dollars when she turns 33 thanks to her inheritance.”
“They want to see an iron-clad prenup, but Paris is so head over heels who knows what she will do. She doesn’t care that much about money, so it is conceivable that she’d do something impetuous,” the insider explains.
The source goes on to explain that “Justin has given no signs that he isn’t sincere,” adding that “he does seem crazy in love with her, as well.”
“They’ve been together two years, so it’s not exactly sudden, even if her family would rather she waited,” the insider says of the proposal. “There’s no wedding date set but it’s likely to happen next summer.”
The couple began dating in 2022, and she announced their engagement while wishing him a happy birthday via Instagram on December 6. She uploaded several photos taken throughout their relationship, including one snapshot of Justin down on one knee as he held a jewelry box in front of her.
“Happy birthday my sweet blue. Doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind and I couldn’t dream of anyone more perfect for me to do it all with,” she wrote alongside the photos. “Thank you for letting me be yours. I love you.”
While Paris didn’t specify exactly when Justin popped the question, eagle-eyed fans noticed that she was seemingly wearing an engagement ring when she attended Paris Fashion Week in September.
Before she found love with Justin, Paris dated musician Gabriel Glenn for several years. Paris met Gabriel, 27, after she watched his band, Trash Dogs, perform during a 2018 concert in Los Angeles.
The former couple became collaborators when they started on their Facebook Watch series titled Unfiltered: Paris Jackson and Gabriel Glenn, which gave fans a personal look into their romance. Despite once going strong, Paris and Gabriel officially called it quits by 2021.
She has chosen to keep most details of her personal life out of the spotlight, though previously revealed that she “dated more women than men” during a 2020 episode.
“The public only knows about three long term relationships I’ve been with and they’ve been with men. The public doesn’t know about, like, most of the relationships I’ve been in,” she explained at the time. “I say I’m gay because I guess I am, but I wouldn’t consider myself bisexual because I’ve dated more than just men and women, I’ve dated a man that had a vagina. It has nothing to do with what’s in your pants, it’s literally like, ‘What are you like as a person?’”
