Middlesbrough host Hull at the Riverside Stadium in a Championship clash.
Victory would see Boro climb to fifth if Watford loses elsewhere, whilst Hull can climb out of the relegation zone with a win.
Team News
Seny Dieng could return in goal for Middlesbrough after he missed their last two matches due to illness.
Hayden Hackney (ankle), Finn Azaz and Delano Burgzorg (both illness) are doubts for selection, but Riley McGree is unlikely to feature after he suffered a leg injury in their midweek loss to Blackburn.
Darragh Lenihan (fitness), Lukas Engel (muscle) and Tommy Smith (Achilles) are still sidelined.
Hull will be without Charlie Hughes who picked up his fifth booking in their midweek loss to Sheffield Wednesday.
Carl Rushworth (ankle), Liam Millar, Mohamed Belloumi (both ACL), Dougkan Sinik (knee) and Oscar Zambrano (suspension) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Middlesbrough host Hull at Riverside Stadium on Saturday 30 November at 12:30pm GMT, live on Sky Sports + in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Middlesbrough have lost one of their last four meetings against Hull (W2, D1, L1).
- Hull have claimed seven points in their last eight trips to Middlesbrough (W2, D1, L5).
- Boro’s Emmanuel Latte Lath scored on both appearances against Hull last season.
- Boro are looking to avoid consecutive home defeats for the first time since February 2024.
- Hull are winless in their last four away games (D1, L3).
Prediction
Following their unsurprising midweek loss to bogey team – Blackburn, Boro must now reset and come out with the same attacking intensity and end product which served them well all week.
Hull meanwhile sacked Tim Walters in midweek but are winless in their last nine games plus no clean sheets in 14, so tightening up the defence is their immediate priority and producing a reaction to Walters’ sacking.
I however am backing Boro to get the job done because despite illness within the squad, they should have enough firepower to get a result.
Prediction: Middlesbrough 2-0 Hull
