Season five of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is currently airing. Now, some old tea is coming to the surface thanks to Heather Gay‘s upcoming book, Good Time Girl. In it, she makes some pretty bold claims, but the boldest might be that Jen Shah‘s husband, Sharrieff, allegedly tried to kiss Monica Garcia. Both Monica and Sharrieff have issued responses.
Heather made news with her first book, Bad Mormon. Now, the RHOSLC star is at it again with Good Time Girl, which is set to be released on December 3. In it, she has a chapter called “Receipts! Proof! Timeline! Screenshots!” where she discusses the show and Monica’s falling out with Jen. This chapter also includes allegations about Jen’s husband.
US Weekly has an exclusive excerpt from the forthcoming book. In the preview, Heather details Monica’s working relationship with Jen. She discusses how Monica grew tired of not getting paid and receiving hand-me-down handbags and other forms of payment that didn’t include money.
After a while, Jen caught on to Monica’s disdain and began to ignore her. This treatment allegedly led her to meet Sharrieff at a gas station to discuss the issues. According to the excerpt, things allegedly became sort of romantic between the two before Monica pushed him away.
Heather writes, “In a final Hail Mary attempt for a handout, she reached out to Jen’s husband, Sharrieff. Supposedly, they agreed to meet up in the parking lot of a gas station and, according to Monica, the exchange quickly turned romantic. ”
The preview goes on, “She claims he tried to kiss her, but she pushed him off, saying, ‘We can’t.’ Sharrieff got out of the car and immediately left. But no one believed her.”
The book goes on to say that after realizing Jen’s husband couldn’t fix things, she decided to resort to other measures. This is when she decided to take Jen down. Notably, Heather calls Monica a “con” and compares her to Regina George from Mean Girls.
The preview continues, “She began hatching her revenge. She had had enough of watching Jen’s popularity grow while she was being depleted. By now, Jen’s presence on the show and on social media had made her a bona fide villain with influence and fame, and she wasn’t sharing any of it with Monica. If she wasn’t going to have the perks of being famous, then Jen wasn’t either. She decided to expose her. She would take Jen Shah down and make her suffer while she did it.”
Now, Monica has issued a statement to US Weekly following the claims in the book. According to her, “It’s truly sad and worrisome that Heather Gay has nothing else to write about than twisted and false allegations in a desperate attempt to try and tarnish the reputations of two families.”
She goes on, “The lies told about me by Heather continue to reach new lows, and the only fantasies happening here are the ones she’s concocting in her book. To clarify, I have never said that Sharrieff Shah and I kissed, nor has there ever been anything romantic or physical between Sharrieff and I. To so carelessly write such untrue and damaging allegations in permanent ink at the expense of others for financial gain is deplorable. There is a reason why [former Housewives producer] Carlos King dubbed Heather Gay the most dangerous housewife.”
Additionally, a representative for Sharrieff reached out to PEOPLE on the matter, saying, “We categorically deny Heather Gay and Monica’s statements.”
The statement continues, “Coach Shah has never had or attempted to have a romantic relationship with Monica at any time. Both my clients Jen and Sharrieff Shah have ignored the continuous attempts for bait by Monica and others for storyline. Jen continues to remain consistent with her journey of positive rehabilitation, and will not entertain frivolous narratives from those seeking a rise from her or her family.”
Monica also issued a statement to PEOPLE, repeating many of the same points from her previous statement.
Fans can watch RHOSLC on Wednesday nights on Bravo.
